Our Founder
Tan Juay Hiang
Prior to Regen Capital, Juay was CEO of Ascendas Hospitality Trust (“AHT”), a Singapore listed REIT. Juay set up, acquired assets and brought AHT to IPO in 2012. AHT expanded through late 2019, delivering since-inception IRR of above 11%, before merging with Ascott Residence Trust. Before that, Juay was the Fund Manager of ASEAN Business Space Fund at Ascendas and since 2001, he was extensively involved in new markets entry, multiple acquisitions and divestments across APAC.
Juay received his MBA from Nanyang Technological University and a bachelor’s of civil engineering (honours) degree from National University of Singapore. He is the Chairman of Audit Committee and Independent Non-Executive Director at Daiwa House Asset Management Asia (REIT Manager for Daiwa House Logistics). Juay is a senior accredited director of Singapore Institute of Directors.
